You got the power?
The church is like a tool box full of power tools.
Each power tool has a specific purpose.
God has made each of us for a specific purpose.
A power drill for example has the purpose of drilling a hole. A power saw has the purpose of cutting boards.

Each power tool has a different purpose.
We each have different purposes that make up the whole "project" for building God's kingdom.
Now, how does the power tool get its power? It must "plug into" a power source.
Prayer is like the power cord, which connects the drill to the power outlet. It is the channel for the flow of power to the power tool.
Now, what does the power cord plug into? Into a power outlet.
The drill cannot get power from the power source (electric company, etc.) without an outlet to plug into. Our "power outlet" is Jesus. As He said, "I am the Way ... no one comes to the Father except through me."
And what, or rather Who, is the power source? That would be God of course.
And what, or rather Who, is the actual power that flows from God (power source), through Jesus (power outlet/way), via prayer (power cord), and into and through us (power tools)?
What is that actual power?
The Holy Spirit!
And since God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one....
That means that it is God working in and through us to empower us to accomplish His purposes.
So .... You got the power?
